Laffun Head

I remember seeing these creepy heads at our local fun shop as a kid in the 1970's. Now one has made it into our home. John found it at a garage sale for $2. It's an Original Peter Figuren, from Bibi Products Co,. Culver City, California. Most of the heads laugh and squirt water out of their mouths, but this one has a special song. The voice box is a bit warped, but I think that adds to the creepiness.

Oh, I begged my parents to let me buy one of these, but they steadfastly refused. Now that I have my own kids, I know exactly why they did.

When I saw one of those as a kid, it frightened me. Then it spit on me, and I wanted to KILL IT. Thing of evil!

I like how it kind of chokes at the end of the song. It seems emphysematic.

That horror bears a suspicious resemblance to Randy Quaid. Maybe his origins have at last been revealed....

How can I buy one of these? My grandfather has been looking all over the place for one. I thought they Laughed and not yodeled. He had one, but it broke when he dropped it. Please let me know where I can buy one at.

I have one that yodeles and is in wonderful shape. I have been offered quite a bit of money for it, however I don't know how to find out how much it is actually worth. Does anyone know? (or) Does anyone know how I could obtain this information? If so, e-mail me at brandigenoe@yahoo.com Thanks!

I have fuzzy memories of being a young kid, and my mom's friend had one of these demonic things on the wall. I was petrified of it. Any time we went over their house she'd have to put a towel over it or I'd run and hide. Recently in a nostalgic mood I looked for it on eBay just to remember what they look like, and found a few. Needless to say I had to pick one up. It has yet to be delivered but I'm excited to pull the tie and have that confounded yodeling bring back some haunting childhood memories.

Oh man does this bring back memories... My great grandmother had this exact thing in the entryway to her house, I remember being a little tyke and making my grandma cover it up with a towel before I would even go in the house. I was scared out of my mind. Those days are long gone, and one of my distant relatives has made of with the scary looking yodeling head. I will probably never see it again. If I ever chance upon one, I will definitely buy it. Are you interested in selling yours perhaps? If so my email is macneill_ab@hotmail.com

Thanks!

Hi, my grandparents that have now passed, have this exact head that has to be repaired. She is very worn, no doubt old, and still sings, but doesnt spew water anymore. I was terrified of it when I was a kid, but I love this thing very much sadly. I would love to purchace another one in great condition or have mine restored to working if someone is willing to sell this same one in perfect condition, or help me out, please email me at lmlwallin@aol.com?
I'm willing to pay a reasonable price for a sentimental toy.
God Bless.

I have been trying to figure out for years what these are called! Thank you! My Grandfather had one in the hallway when I was a child and I swear it watched me while I slept. (Not in a good way mind you. lol) I found one thrifting in college and bought it, I fear I have lost it in one of my moves. He had a hat like a leprechaun. Super creepy!
